Consensus statement on Chronic constipation and Obstructed defecation

The first part of the Consensus statement on chronic constipation and obstructed defecation which is about diagnostics, was published in the World Journal of Gastroenterology (WJG), and is the result of a collaboration among experts of the Italian Society of Colorectal Surgery (SICCR) and the Italian Association of Hospital Gastroenterologists (AIGO).
The topic which is of great interest and relevance, not only with scientific but also with bioethical and medico-legal implications, is dealt with balance and competence on the basis of EBM, but unlocks doors to possible new acquisitions.
