Consensus statement

The AIGO- SICCR joint committee has prearranged the “Consensus statement” on the diagnosis and therapy of chronic constipation and obstructed defecation, document will be used in the joint meeting between the two Associations and that will be held in occasion of the 16th Congress of Diseases of the Digestive System (Verona 6th-9th March 2011).
The discussion of the document will be treated in depth in order to reach a conclusion for the SICCR 4th National Congress that will be held at Genoa in October 2011.
The committee has subsequently decided to publish in the shortest time possible, and in an influential journal the Consensus statement, taking into account the effort and the quality of the work carried out by all members of the committee
