The SICCR portal: formation and information at present looking into the future

Pondering history, helps shed light on events that take place so quickly that we don’t even notice them. Since the foundation of the Italian federation of Colon proctology, which later became the Society of Colon proctology and then even later, SIUCP, amongst the many projects I have worked on, is the expansion of communication through web. One site after another!. It is a relatively inexpensive instrument with enormous potential, which links members who are responsible for the management of the association with various sectors of SICCR.
The results, regardless of the scarce financial and human resources so far available, are encouraging: we have reached 1400 members with average monthly contacts that have touched the 600 figure, and with a positive response from abroad thanks to the English version. The “Honcode” credit is a prestigious acknowledgement of the quality and reliability of its contents, which are clearly separated from any form of publicity.
Shortly it will be updated in order to make the portal friendlier and technologically more advanced.
I have handed over this intellectual propriety to the SICCR in order for it to benefit from the security it offers. I have decided to do this, bearing in mind that like every human being, I am subject to unpredictable circumstances.

The Directive Council has decided to appoint me editor for the next five years, Coeditor Stefano Mancini, responsible for the Communication Committee, and Luigi Basso representative of the Directive Council, for the entire length of the Council’s mandate. Marina Fiorino, redactor who will work directly with Alessandra Grenga of Qnet.
We expect to receive further boost from the internal distribution in the form of an extension of its contents and in new systems of contact with members.

SICCR’s inclination to major management autonomy, is leading towards a streamlining of administrative activities.
In the coming year some changes will be made one of which will be the identification of the association as a “no profit” one.
A greater and greater number of functions which in the past were placed in the care of service companies, are now being managed autonomously thanks to the technological support offered by the portal and to the greater experience of our secretariat.
In a world of growing difficulties we would like to continue investing in reliability and professionalism with the contribution of all those who are willing to offer us collaboration and trust.
